The Summer 2024-25 season runs during Terms 4 2024 and Term 1 2025. The Summer season starts  Saturday 12 October 2024 with Grand Final played Saturday 5 April 2025.

We welcome your child to join our growing basketball club, which is made up of mainly BUPS kids.

We have teams in Boys and Girls (U8, U10, U12, U14, U16). We also have the Women's and Men's teams.

Fees Overview

Basketball fees are calculated considering all the club costs and dividing this among players. The club aims to keep fees to a minimum. Splash is a not-for-profit club.

You will receive an invoice for fees prior to the start of the basketball season and the club requests fees are paid by the due date. If fees are not paid by the due date, alternative arrangements need to be organised for players to continue to play in competition games.

Fees for Summer 2024-25 Season

Player fees for the summer season are to be confirmed. Fees include team registration, weekly game fees, training at BUPS, public liability insurance and trophies. Payment due 28 days from invoice date.

Parents will also be required to register their players with Basketball Victoria via the PlayHQ system. This costs $29 for Juniors for 12 months. A link will be sent to you once you have paid your fees. 

Training

Training will be in the BUPS stadium at a time that is convenient for the coaches.

Where possible, we will have 2 teams train at the same time to minimise stadium hire costs and keep season fees to a minimum.

Parents must collect children from the stadium following training.

Game Day

Games are held at Cardinia Life, 4/6 Olympic Way, Pakenham

U8’s play at Officer Community Hub, 2 Parker Street, Officer

Games consist of 2 x 18-minute halves and can be fixtured anywhere between 8:30am – 5pm, however the younger age groups are generally in the earlier time slots. A parent will also need to score each week on a rotating roster. The Club can provide some training if necessary. 

Each team needs a Coach, Assistant Coaches and a Team Manager. Please see the Coaches Page and Volunteer section of the website for further information. 

Uniforms and related items

Players are expected to purchase their own Splash uniform. The club will supply clash uniforms for those weeks when two Splash teams are competing against each other.

The cost of uniforms is $77 for new players, which includes shorts and a reversible top suitable for clash games.

The only other items required is a pair of sneakers, a water bottle and a size 5 (or size 6 for U14) basketball.
